I'm stuck on the sharepoint access problem now. We are using Manged Sharepoint 2007 (a hosted version of Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 2007) provided by ahosting company. With the sharepoint site, some of users can not access the site. Message: Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or access this resource It does not offer any logon prompt. Users who can not access the sharepoint site are usually sitting in a LAN. I think it might be blocked by their policy. Am I right? Why do they need to block this site? Please help me with this question. Thanks for any contribution.

We are using Sharepoint 2003. We have an account name asMYDOMAIN\mydomain999. While access the sharepoint site it allows to enter into sitebut it prevent from performing some action like approval, rejection. It happens for some 2/3 users only. All other user can access and can navigate site. We are using Active Directory. Waiting for reply

Problem resolved. "Basic Authorization" is added onsharepoint site, then users can access the site.

Hi Sharad, Have you tried delete the username who can not navigate? Some people just delete username and create a new same username. Hope this can work well.

Here's a unique spin on this issue...I have a lot of users who are getting the "Access Denied" message, in error. But when they click on the link "Go back to site" just above the "access denied" text, they get in. This happens whether they use a full url (http://oursharepointsite/default.aspx) or a path (http://oursharepointsite/)Any ideas what's going on here?Cheers!Chris G.
